Rare Vintage Bracelet. Chanel Novelty Co by Reinad. This Cannetille, Silver Alloy, Panel Bracelet is sn incredibly rare find! Stunning!!
It is missing part of the clasp and the security chain. Both repairable. It is otherwise in really amazing condition. This piece is from 1941.
"Reinad's origins date to 1922 when the company worked exclusively in jewelry and ornaments for the garment trade. In 1941 the firm had its first retail collection. These pieces of jewelry are some of the highest quality, rarest and most desired of all costume jewelry. The pieces were signed Chanel in script (for Chanel Novelty Co.) and produced only in the spring of 1941 (this is one of those pieces!) In February 1941 Coco Chanel sued over the use of her name and won, resulting in the company changing its name and jewelry mark to Reinad (Novelty Co., Inc).
This piece is not perfect. But easily repairable and a unique part of history.
